Students in 6th–12th grade: we’re heading to Anchorage for RENEW, a weekend set apart to be renewed in Jesus. Speaker Jeremey Veal will bring the Word, and The Collective from Northwest Nazarene University will lead worship. Expect worship, teaching, a bonfire night, friendship, and time to hear from God together.
We’ll drive up together from Nikiski. Departure and return details will be shared soon in person. The retreat is hosted by Breakthrough Student Ministries at Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene, 2000 Muldoon Rd, Anchorage, for students from across the Alaska District.
When
Check-in is at 7:00 PM on Friday, October 9, and the retreat ends at 11:30 AM on Sunday, October 11. Those times are for the retreat itself at Hillcrest in Anchorage, not for our group leaving Nikiski or getting back home.
What to bring
- Bible, journal, and pen (phones are allowed for the YouVersion Bible App, but a paper Bible is great for quiet time and devotions)
- Jacket and warm clothes for the bonfire night
- Pillow, bed roll or air mattress, and blankets
- Appropriate sleepwear
- Hygiene items, plus a change of clothes for Saturday and Sunday
