From his fullness we have all received grace upon grace. John 1:16
For the next six weeks, our students are learning one of the oldest ways Christians have ever prayed… lectio divina, or sacred reading. Not reading a lot. Reading slowly, and letting a few words sink all the way in.
We made a book for it. Grace upon Grace walks through six simple steps each day: be still, read, reflect, respond, rest, and carry one thing into your day. Each week follows one movement of God’s grace… the grace that goes before us, the grace that saves us, and the grace that keeps making us whole.
Together on Tuesdays
Tuesdays · 6:30 AM · The Compass
November 10, 17 and 24
December 1, 8 and 15
We pray the week’s passage together, hear a short story of someone who walked this way, talk, and pray for the person beside us. Early, quiet, and worth it.
Praying along from home
Parents, and anyone else who’d like to join in, are welcome to pray through the same passages on your own. The full book is a free download.

Then, on November 29, we step into Advent… and four weeks of waiting is good practice for people who’ve learned to slow down, listen, and wait. Grace upon Grace is only the first three weeks: on December 1, 8 and 15, Tuesday mornings keep going with a new theme called Before the Dawn, six weeks in all.
