The Two Pennies

Jesus sat in the temple and watched the wealthy drop large, loud offerings for everyone to hear: but it was a poor widow with two silent pennies who gave the most. We often settle for "$100 moments," putting on a show of obedience that costs us very little, while clutching the hidden, costly things God is actually asking for. The good news this morning: God is not looking for a flashy performance, He is looking for our total surrender, and true freedom is found when we finally let go.
